Each time I try to share my work on facebook all I get is a selection of more like this thumbs exacerbating the problem of popular light weight art usurping precious space on serious but less popular deviations. You seem hell bent on being a hawker of light weight work MASSIVELY at the expense of serious but more difficult work. All I ask is that serious work has an equal place at DA in relation to light weight work which will always attract viewers no matter what. Sending this problem to the forum is sending to a dead end
Anyway here is a screen shoot of how only 'more like this' thumbs are presented to facebook making the 'more like this' chauvinism at DA ten times worse.
I think there is a deeply serious problem here about what kind of organisation DA - otherwise admittedly the best on-line gallery service - is. I'm not asking that there should be a bias towards unpopular serious work, just that the disadvantages be removed.
da complaint 8 shows how only 'more like this' thumbs are presented to facebook at the expense of the actual deviation.
da complaint 7 shows the prominence of 'more like this' thumbs in MY deviation, none of which point to my work. My work being difficult needs promotion but misses out on this just because it's unpopular.
da complaint 6 shows how fa......'s work - highly competent and deservedly already popular - gets every single 'more like this' thumb to promote their work which they don't need remotely as much as me.
Equal weight could be given to the 'more like this' (at present 15 huge thumbs) and 'more from' (at present 3 tiny thumbs, almost out of sight) say 9 big thumbs each - 'more like this' providing a balanced re-direction service exclusively to other deviants and an equal-sized 'more from' thumbs exclusively for the owner of that deviation.
I will gladly clarify if needed.
