You and me, miss, homo sapiens, too

Description

This crosses over two series I'm working on.

1) Homo Sapiens, Too! inspired by the song by Pete Shelley better known as the lead singer of the Buzzcocks, a seminal band of the British New Wave of the late 1970s in which a man extols to his boyfriend that they are, after all, human as well as homosexual using the pun on 'Homo'. I thought the same could apply to a positive relationship between people of different sizes.

2) Julia. A doomed love story in which a woman remembers her first girlfriend and the joy of that relationship. Based on a song by Derbyshire folk singer, Lucy Ward. I am to depict tender moments between the girls. The title for this could easily come from the song Together, girl just uz against all of the world. Here are the words and a link to a performance on Youtube.

Lucy Ward - Julia

Dear Julia
I'm writing home like I said that I that I would...
It is colder here than it should be for the spring
No one else has noticed so maybe it's just me.
Please don't tell them that I've written,
It will only raise conversations you want to avoid.
Julia! It'll be our little secret. I just wanted to tell you... I'm alone.
Dear Julia, do you remember those hours before liqueur
When we laid in bed for days.
Together, girl just uz against all of the world.
But what we didn't know was that the enemy had changed - nothing stays the same!
Please don't tell that I've written: your name and the place, the number and city.
They won't understand when you tell them you miss me.
Put this letter under your covers so I'm closer while your sleeping.
Dear Julia, you haven't changes since we were only sweet seventeen.
I loved you then as I love you still!
But I've put you on a hill. Now your only way is down.
Please don't tell that I've written: your name and the place, the number and city.
They won't understand when you tell them you miss me.
You miss me!
You miss me!
Please say that you miss me!
You miss me!
You miss me!
Please say that you miss me!
You miss me!
You miss me!
Please say that you... miss me!
